Popular gallery artist and renowned abstract painter Rod Wimer has created new paintings for his in demand female form series.
Wimer’s distinctive style includes abstracted works created with multiple layers of media including paint, graphite, colored pencil, and oil sticks on substrates of wood panel, canvas, and paper.

Wimer explains his choice of subject matter:
I like to experiment with color schemes and female forms. This series uses a technique referred to as “alcohol resist”. ~ Rod Wimer
The alcohol technique involves adding small amounts of alcohol to layers of acrylic paint to texturalize the painting, also increasing the sense of depth.
